HR Strateg at the Army Staff

The focus area of the Army Staff is to lead and develop the new army. An army that focuses on the army's capability in the field and in this builds new as well as restructure existing units. At the same time, the Army Staff leads units both nationally and internationally. The Army Staff develops and produces the army's war units and subordinate organizational units consisting of units and schools. The above combined with the continued establishment of the Army Staff as a cohesive and unifying force for the tasks is very varied, developmental, and dynamic.

Recruiting Unit

The position is located at the Planning Department, which is the department within the Army Staff responsible for leading and consolidating the army in HR matters and processes at an aggregated level, defense planning, unit production, and development.

Main Responsibilities

As an HR Strategist, you have a broad role and you are, together with the Army's HR manager, the representative of the branch for salary formation, personnel and competence supply, labor law, and administration. Other HR-related issues may be included in the position. You work together with the HR network at all of the Army's organizational units in the effort to develop HR in the branch. You develop personnel, organization, and work life issues based on higher management's goals and assignments, ensure that the organization's managers receive local support in accordance with the Armed Forces' HR processes, develop the employer brand and future competence supply, etc.

The role of HR Strategist is consultative and development-oriented. The focus is on change management and strategic development issues where extensive collaboration with FST (Defense Staff), other branches of the armed forces, and combat forces is a natural part. Business trips within and outside the country are included, such as leading meetings, giving presentations, or being a speaker at the Army level.

In summary, the position of HR Strategist at HR Army plays a key role in shaping and implementing HR strategies that support the army organization's success and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Relevant and current work experience in HR strategic issues from various management levels
  • Formal education in the HR field or equivalent service that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • Good experience in driving salary formation work
  • Good experience in the labor law area
  • Good experience in organizational work
  • Good communication skills in both Swedish and English
  • Experience in integrating HR strategies with business goals
  • Driver's license (B)

Meritorious

  • Work in the HR field in the Armed Forces or another government agency
  • Experience working as an HR Strategist and/or HR Manager
  • Experience in HR work in an organization undergoing change and growth
  • Completed training from the FM Establishment Program CF4
  • Experience with SAP HR system

Personal Qualities

We are looking for an HR Strategist with high integrity and strong analytical ability who is prepared to operate in a broad and complex organization in a fast-paced change and development environment. You must be flexible and able to handle a pace where you have multiple issues on your desk simultaneously. Furthermore, we see that you have a coaching approach in your professional practice and are a role model for employees and managers. It is important that you have good communication skills and can create and maintain trusting relationships at all levels, both internally within the Armed Forces and externally.

For you to thrive, it is important that you can collaborate with everyone while also being able to work proactively and independently. You should have the ability to quickly understand issues of varying nature and deliver results of high quality within given time frames. As a person, you should be clear and unpretentious. You are a good representative of the Armed Forces and stand behind the Armed Forces' values and the view of the equal value of all people.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

Salary: Individual salary setting according to collective agreement.

Employment form: Permanent. The employment begins with a six-month probationary period if it is your first employment in the Armed Forces.
